INABANGKIT Euphoria Abstract

More than 3 (three) decades (1966-1998), the so called 'new era' under Suharto's regime was so oppressive militairistic with full of sadism against human rights of most Indonesian people, especially those who were standing on the opposite side of the governmental policies. Massacres at the start up of the regime followed by kidnapping and dismissal of disliked persons, throwing into prison and jail without court and finally ' discrimination or economic embargo' against their families was just means of slowly killing for them.
The 'country constructions' have been carried out by foreign financial debts 4-5 milliars US$ annually, with 30-40 % lost annualy by collution, corruptions and nepotism popularly called KKN. Opened a deep gap between the haves/minority richest and the mayority poors and affecting social jealouzies among the peoples. Nomore feeling of togetherness among them and government authorities. This condition was more significantly worse by regional economic crisis beginning year 1996 up to now. Unemployment increased because of escapadous cronies ( mostly bankers, enterpreneurs) taking all their money capitals (BLBI credits) out and deposited abroad.
Prices included of important principal daily commodities were flying very high, not to be reached by peoples whose living standard/purchasing power was already dropped down. Many of them became frustation and compensated themselves by drinking alcoholic and using narcotic drugs ! This of course increasing criminal intensities like stealing and robberies, sexual harrasments and rapes and other bad habits.
All stated above were reasons for students, suported by the whole people, to organize 'people power' for tipple out Suharto regime and his 'new era'/orde baru. This reached a climax on May 21, 1998 when Suharto resigned and requested BJ. Habibi as his successor according to 1945 Konstitution.
It was reasonable also that spontaneously after the fall of the regime the peoples strongly influenced by euphoriarism and requested reformation almost in 'all fields of life' which commensurate with human rights ! Suharto's "new era" was then changed by "reformation era", the era of 'no day without demonstration' !
